WE CAN STILL DUG OUT GOLD!

When you're down, everything feels bad. But mehn! When you're in the dumps, even the one thing that gives you joy, becomes scary. You suddenly wished to be left alone in this whole wide world. You become afraid even of the special people in your life. The last thing you want, is to see happy, joyous people laughing and having everything you can't at the moment. It's like a part of you is keeping you hostage and won't let you go. Your world suddenly become like the talk of Jesus' second coming, for more than 2000 years the gospel has been taught and preached to an extent many are considering it a hoax, in fact some has termed it so. You wonder, will there be an end to this? Wow! You are really not down but in a  dump, your physiology is in a down state and your thoughts are exacerbating the process with tales of how down you are, how it may last forever and how your situation is devoid of any hope.

Have you ever noticed, when you are down, you feel like it will last forever? Those who has been in the dungeons of abductor of any kind, will attest better; it could be financial, illness, relationship or wholesome body abduction, the kind those our brothers from the other side indulge in. In that situation, you realize that death carries lesser fear than uncertainty.

When you're in uncertain situation. Mehn, nothing may qualify you better than being 'doomed'. At that time you look at yourself and wonder, what became of all your dreams and plans for the future? Have you wondered why some concluded Nigeria as a doomed nation? You don't think they came to that conclusion just because we are being bombarded,  kidnapped and most times butchered. No at all! Because all over the world such sh*ts happens even in the most reverend secured and civilized countries, bombs are still exploding, people are still being abducted and butchered. Their conclusion could not be better based, than on the precarious state we live in. Ours is embroidered with levity from those entrusted for national provisions.

In other climes where those entrusted with national provisions diligently deliver their mandates, families are sure of getting justice, it is so certain in their minds that justice will definitely be served. It is so certain that they, their children will have equal opportunities as everyone else. Off-course, you can't say same for ours, we are in a country were evil are been perpetrated at will with no consequential fallout on the perpetrators in form of punishment.  We are in a country were some animals are more equal than the others, were certain issues are choose to be swept under the carpet, and even those treated justice were not squarely served. And so everybody are in constant state of uncertainty, would my case be treated or go under the carpet?

The only thing seem certain in this part of the world divide is negativity. After the ThisDay bomb blast, we knew the dreaded group will strike again, and they did. We were also certain they will again, and they did (Nyanya first blast), just yesterday they carried out another blast right opposite the first leaving no fewer than 15 persons dead and scores of injuries. Are we sure of their apprehension, I mean apprehending the real culprits, not mustering some persons who has been on death? Very very uncertain. Its been more than two weeks the little school girls had been abducted, exception of the ones who by their self efforts escaped their captors has made it back home to their families. The fate of the rest girls seems to be going as usual, fizzle out and then under the carpet it goes, but we pray  God forbid.

Seriously, with happenings in this country and the manner it has been handled, the country is really in the dumps, nothing that brings her joy are in her hands anymore. But should we throw the child and the bath water? Should we just watch  at akimbo and allow agents of death ransack us? Wouldn't we like the ancient Greek warriors choose to stand on our feet and fight this battle than be on our kneels as we seem now begging for life that after all wont last forever. My country people, even in this dumps we could still dug out gold, we could still dug out weapons to defend ourselves and fatherland, we could still recycle the little good left in us in this dumps. The 21st century has presented us a world were nothing is a waste, even from the proceeds dump good things of life can still be made. We may be down and in the dumps, inasmuch there's still breathe in us that joy, happiness we crave for can still be ours. Our lost child can still be found, our runaway husband, wife can still return home. Our next phone ring can still be that of a job opening. But we have to do something, we have to change the way we've been acting. We have to begin to do something new and do it with all the joy in us. We have to begin to see we're down in the dumps of raw materials. Give every attempt our best shot, begin to carry that face 'all is well'. Even If we have to pretend it, you remember the saying 'practice makes perfect'? But lastly and more important  we must never forget or refuse in this dumps to give a helping hand.

Our land of milk and honey will not be in vain. We will get there and smile again, you know i wanna see you there holding hands and beaming with smiles.
