Femi Falana Lampoons NBA, Criticizes It Of Nepotism.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria while in an on-air interview on Arise TV said the institution has become more or less a rubber stamp of a government in power.

The SAN queried sarcastically, “which NBA?, please don’t let us go there”  when he was asked to  respond to a question bothering on NBA to government  in regards to rule of law.

He said the NBA has deviated, recounting how the institution usually uses her power in the time past to make the government return to the part of right.

He further said, a lawyer outside legal uprightness should be morally upright and shouldn’t be found in circle of character questioned. Therefore, believed a lawyer is also morally bound to walk away from institutions and individual whose action(s) would portray disobedient to moral standard and especially rule of law.

He bemoaned the level NBA has dragged itself low, becoming a tool and a caprice in the hands of government. It has become a barking dog without tooth, the reason it cannot sanction Attorney Generals who would play the tune of ‘the man that the piper’ rather obey the oath of office they took.

He maintain that no law flouted by governments without the support of the Attorney General of that jurisdiction.
