ONNOGHEN: CJN Granted Interim Injunction

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday January 21, has granted Interim Injunction on the case between the CJN and FG.

Justice Inyang Ekwo granted the order of interim injunction to restrain the FG from removing the CJN from office pending the hearing and determination of the suit filed by Action Peoples Party.

The court also adjourned the hearing of the motion on notice to the 29th of January with an order to parties to maintain the status quo ante.

Barricaded Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Opened

The barricaded Sagamu end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has been opened for commuters. The Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, Mr Adedamola Kuti told journalists during the opening on Tuesday that the barricaded section was opened to ease traffic during the festive period. He said, "the gridlock experienced on the road necessitated the removal of the barricades." He also noted that work will resume on the road as quickly as possible in January so the contractors could maximise the window offered by the dry season.
