2019 Appropriation Bill Suffers Setback

The 2019 Appropriation Bill has suffered a setback as members of the House of Reps threatens boycotting the President Buhari presentation next week Wednesday.

The House members did not take lightly the action of the minister of budget and planning. The statement according to the House members portrayed them as irresponsible and that they can't accept.


The House members said, notice of the budget has just for the first time brought to their notice by the president's letter read on the floor today (Thursday).


However, the House members said only by the minister public tender of apology would they indulge the president of his request.

THERESA MAY will today warn a new Brexit referendum would cause “irreparable damage” — after her key aides were forced to deny plotting one. Barricaded Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Opened

The barricaded Sagamu end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has been opened for commuters. The Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, Mr Adedamola Kuti told journalists during the opening on Tuesday that the barricaded section was opened to ease traffic during the festive period. He said, "the gridlock experienced on the road necessitated the removal of the barricades." He also noted that work will resume on the road as quickly as possible in January so the contractors could maximise the window offered by the dry season.
