Ex Defence Chief Air Chief Badeh Killed

The family of Air Marshal Badeh and Nigeria Defence unit were thrown into mourning yesterday evening as the news of the death of the ex Defence Chief filtered in. The immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh was shot dead in Abuja Tuesday evening by unknown gunmen,while reportedly returning from his farm. .


The Nigerian Air Force has confirmed the death of the former Defence chief in a statement by its spokesman, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola. The statement: ”Death of former CDS Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, reads: ”It is with a heavy heart that I regretfully announce the unfortunate demise of former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Sabundu Badeh, who died today, 18 Dec 18, from gunshot wounds sustained when his vehicle was attacked while returning from his farm along Abuja-Keffi Road.‬ “On behalf officers, airmen and airwomen of the Nigerian Air Force, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, commiserates with the family of the late former Chief of Defence Staff over this irreparable loss. We pray that the Almighty God grants his soul eternal rest. Details later. “

THERESA MAY will today warn a new Brexit referendum would cause “irreparable damage” — after her key aides were forced to deny plotting one. Barricaded Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Opened

The barricaded Sagamu end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has been opened for commuters. The Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, Mr Adedamola Kuti told journalists during the opening on Tuesday that the barricaded section was opened to ease traffic during the festive period. He said, "the gridlock experienced on the road necessitated the removal of the barricades." He also noted that work will resume on the road as quickly as possible in January so the contractors could maximise the window offered by the dry season.
