Militants Storm National Assembly

Trouble seems not end for the NASS leadership. This Wednesday morning some former Niger Delta militants have stormed the main entrance of the National Assembly to demand payment of their allowances and the sacking of the Coordinator, Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brig.-Gen. Paul Boroh (retd).

The ex-militants were with placards scripted; ‘Dokubo Must Go’ and ‘Pay Us Our Stipends.’

The NASS is to receive President Muhammadu Buhari for the presentation of the 2019 Appropriation Bill by 11am. Meanwhile, the protesters had arrived at the gate of the National Assembly early as 7:30am. This they said to draw the attention of the President to the alleged mismanagement of the programme.
